my poor female budgie has died....

my poor Budgie died almost a week ago after being seriously sick for more than a month. I tried antibiotics, vitamis, better more nutritious meals but nothing...
at least, she must have been relieved in a way, as in her last days she was gasping for air...
Hopefully now, her soul is back in her country of Origin, Australia....
So now, the male budgie is left alone. I do not know how long he will survive being on his own, but i could not stand replacing her with another younger, different bird...

To move or not to move ?

How distracting and how upsetting can it be to watch your whole house, your whole " Noikokirio" leaving on the back side of a truck? Well it is very upsetting but it is also kind of relieving if you know that many things that were going wrong, will now change hopefully to the best!!! I found myself on that situation last Sunday when my boyfriend and me moved my whole house in about 2 hours from Halandri to my new place in Nea Makri next to the sea...The truck on the picture above is the one that moved all my stuff to this new place.
It has been three full years since my last move, and I seriously hope that it will be the last one going to a rented house. I hope the next time I move, I am going to a house of my own, to live together with my Sweerheart!!!
The new studio flat is wonderful, close to the sea, with a nice garden. my Landlady has a dog (his name is Aris) and a cat (Themis). It is actually the first time for my to live with a dog around and seriously he makes me feel safe (he is a rotweiler!!!). My two budgies don't think the same though...They do not like either the dog or the cat...
I will publish soon pictures of Aris, Themis and my house....And of Nea Makri, which is a very nice small town by the sea, that reminds me a lot of my hometown Xylokastro...

september deals....

September is finally here...the people are already back, the roads get full and congested, the schools will open again and the usual yellow buses will re-appear on the streets.
This, in combination to the "new september deals" that goes on at work have made my mind to spin off. Summer holidays in Chios seem to have happened a year ago and i find myself wanting more vacations still...
Well maybe it is just the new season that has begun and the Pluto planet that is no longer a planet. But seriously I do not understand why summer has to end always so quickly. And even more, i cannot understand why the end of summer always is so stessful and tiring. People should have more holidays and more time to rest.
I hope that this new "academic" year will be better that the previous one and allt he changes that are going to happen, to be mild. Now that more responsibilitites will fall on me, and a lot more work that has to be done and completed at the same time, I need more than ever a good "carma" to manage it all. Thankfully i have my heart and this gives me strength and hope for the future. Love does surely make the world go round!!!

During all these last days, everytime I see a foto like that, or a video with lost children crying and asking for their parents or even worse children lying dead under ruins, tears come in my eyes. Tears because none of us is strong to change the situation in Lebanon, so save the children, to stop tha massacre.
Even the " anti-war" gatherings that take place in various citys, are not popular. It is as though all of us have comfortably sat on our couches and watch the massacre take place on the TV screen....!
I am afraid of what is going to happen, and I am afraid because nobody seems to be doing anything to stop the bombings....Is anybody out there thinking the same as me? I am sure there would be millions of people opposing this war, but their voice is silenced. I read somewhere that the worst case scenario is that the USA will leave everything as it is until Syria and Iran get in the game console and then use atomic bombs against Iran which was what the USA wanted from the beggining....
God help us...

Βρουλίδια....

Δεν ειναι μια μαγεία? τα Βρουλίδια, η πιο όμορφη παραλία της Χιου ήταν το στέκι εμένα και του Ηλία φέτος το καλοκαίρι στις διακοπές μας στο νησί...
Καταγάλανα πεντακάθαρα νερά, ανάμεσα σε ένα άγριο περιβάλλον φυσικού καλους....
Και φαντάσου ότι δεν είχε κόσμο...υπήρχαν ώρες που είμασταν όλες και όλες δύο παρέες σε όλη αυτή την παραλία....
Ειδυλλιακό, ειδικά όταν είσαι ερωτευμένος και ζητάς ένα μέρος για χαλάρωση ώστε να ερθεις κοντά με τον ανθρωπό σου μετά από έναν δύσκολο χειμώνα....
